Epidendrum tonduzii C.H. Lank., Orchid Rev. 32(372): 163. 1924.

TYPE: A collection of plants made in April of this year above Zarcero (western spurs of Poas, 7500 ft.), includes several of this type which have just flowered, C.H. Lankester s.n. (holotype, not stated; neotype designated by Santiago & Hágsater (2007), Costa Rica. Tablazo, 1800 m, A. Tonduz s.n. (AMES, tracing of CR-7950)).
